This document is a report submitted by five students under the guidance of their professor on the topic of robotics. It introduces robots as machines that resemble humans and perform mechanical tasks. It then reviews the origin of the term "robot", proposed laws of robotics, and provides a history of industrial robots from 1954 to present. The document describes robot anatomy, including manipulators, joints, degrees of freedom, and wrist configurations. It discusses actuators, wheels, and gear boxes used in the prototype robot design.
