The document presents two strategies, multi-robot island-based relocation (MRIBR) and multi-robot grid-based island-based relocation (MRGIR), to enhance connectivity in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in hazardous areas. Through simulations, it is demonstrated that MRGIR outperforms MRIBR in terms of connectivity time, average traveled distance, and connectivity rate, while emphasizing the use of mobile robots to relocate redundant sensors and connect disjoint network islands. The study highlights the significance of connectivity for applications such as intrusion detection in military contexts.
