Definitions o Mystery/ Mysterious – something that is difficult to understand or explain; strange, because you (people) don’t know much about it. o Mystic/ Mysticism (a belief) – a person who tries to become united with God through prayer and meditation. He understands the important things that are beyond normal human understanding. o Mystical - a person who have spiritual powers or qualities that are difficult to explain.

God’s Plan (cont’d) Matthew 13:11 - 13 11 Jesus answered, "The knowledge about the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 For the person who has something will be given more, so that he will have more than enough; but the person who has nothing will have taken away from him even the little he has. 13 The reason I use parables in talking to them is that they look, but do not see, and they listen, but do not hear or understand. to be “MYSTICAL ”; With qualities difficult to explain.
- 4. 1Corinthians 2:6 - 16 (GNB) 6 Yet I do proclaim a message of wisdom to those who are spiritually mature. But it is not the wisdom that belongs to this world or to the powers that rule this world--- powers that are losing their power. 7 The wisdom I proclaim is God's secret wisdom, which is hidden from human beings, but which he had already chosen for our glory even before the world was made. 8 None of the rulers of this world knew this wisdom. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as the scripture says, "What no one ever saw or heard, what no one ever thought could happen, is the very thing God prepared for those who love him." 10 But it was to us that God made known his secret by means of his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, even the hidden depths of God's purposes. 11 It is only our own spirit within us that knows all about us; in the same way, only God's Spirit knows all about God. 12 We have not received this world's spirit; instead, we have received the Spirit sent by God, so that we may know all that God has given us. 13 So then, we do not speak in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, as we explain spiritual truths to those who have the Spirit. 14 Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God's Spirit. Such a person really does not understand them, and they seem to be nonsense, because their value can be judged only on a spiritual basis. 15 Whoever has the Spirit, however, is able to judge the value of everything, but no one is able to judge him. 16 As the scripture says, "Who knows the mind of the Lord? Who is able to give him advice?" We, however, have the mind of Christ. God’s Plan (cont’d)

- 6. Mysteries! The whole of Bible is about MYSTERIES – Book of mysteries! This is because the author is a MYSTICAL BEING. By implication, “All His Children” should reflect this character – MYSTICAL!
- 7. Mystery is God’s PERSONALITY! Hence, it is only given to or inherited by those that have an inheritance in Christ Jesus (God). Matthew 13:11 - 12 Mysteries (cont’d)
- 8. Some Mysteries in the Bible God’s love for man – (1Cor 13:2). Transformation; from corruptible to incorruptible - (1Cor 15:50). Spiritual blessing (God’s will) – (Eph 1:3 – 14). Godliness – (1Timothy 3:14 – 16). Our inheritance in Christ Jesus – (Col 2:6 – 15)
- 9. 6 Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. 7 Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. 8 See to it, then, that no one enslaves you by means of the worthless deceit of human wisdom, which comes from the teachings handed down by human beings and from the ruling spirits of the universe, and not from Christ. 9 For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in his humanity, 10 and you have been given full life in union with him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority. 11 In union with Christ you were circumcised, not with the circumcision that is made by human beings, but with the circumcision made by Christ, which consists of being freed from the power of this sinful self. 12 For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ through your faith in the active power of God, who raised him from death. 13 You were at one time spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were Gentiles without the Law. But God has now brought you to life with Christ. God forgave us all our sins; 14 he canceled the unfavorable record of our debts with its binding rules and did away with it completely by nailing it to the cross. 15 And on that cross Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession. Conclusion There is a saying, … “ He/She that would be rich in learning of the law and that wisdom which is hidden, in a hidden and secrete place should hide and secrete himself/ herself from the children of men” Note: Sons/Princes, behave and prepare themselves for “the responsibility” at any given opportunity. WAKE UP!
