Myself My World Project
- 1. WELCOME TO ESKISEHIR Eskişehir is a city in the northwestern part of the Central Anatolia in Turkey. The city is home to about 500,000 people and two of Turkey’s biggest universities. Almost half of city population is student therefore the city is widely nicknamed as "students’ city" in Turkey. The name Eskişehir literally means Old City in Turkish; indeed, the city was founded by the Phrygians in about 1000 BC. Many Phrygian artifacts and sculptures can still be found in the city's archeological museum. There is also a museum of meerschaum stone, whose production remains still notable, used to make high quality meerschaum pipes.
- 2. Whenever it was mentioned by ancient geographers, the city was described as one of the most beautiful in Anatolia. MYSELF MY WORLD IN ESKISEHIR As it happens every year, there will be a great Global Community Development Traineeship in Local Committee of ESKISEHIR. With this amazing opportunity, highschool student and teachers from lots of different countries will be able to gain outstanding experience with our huge family here. WHAT IS MYSELF MY WORLD? Myself My World is a Global Community Development Programme that is aiming to improve English level and soft skills of High School Students in summer camps. WHAT IS THE ROLE OF INTERNS IN MMW PROJECT? Interns will work with our young friends and organize learning circles. They will have opportunity to share their knowledge and experience at these summer camps.
- 3. Details of the Project; Vision: Make highschool students can decide about their future. How can we do this? With preparing and holding presentations of interns home country for children in the age of 15-18 years in summer camps. Also presenting intern’s country in Global Village with their traditional food and costumes. And motivating and encouraging them to speak English. What about duration? 6 weeks. 1st week will be orientation week.And then the camp will begin.You can find the agenda of previous year’s camps on the left. Accomodation provided. (in an AIESECer’s house or with host family) One meal during the working days will be provided.(On camp days) You will have chance to join our reception activities and tours. Selection Process: We have to make an interview with candidates. If they are selected, they will send us an EP Acceptence Note. We will send TN Acceptence Note and Invitation Letter for visa and match process. Interns have to get AIESEC Visa from Turkish Embassy.
