Natural resources are things found in nature that people use, such as air, sun, water, rocks, wind, oil, gas and soil. Examples of how natural resources are used include generating energy from dams and wind, providing water for drinking, irrigation and industry, and producing electricity, oil, pesticides, and plant watering. Reusing items like old carpet, plastic bags, jars, cards, cans, phones, and clothes and recycling metals, electronics, tapes, and scrap can reduce waste of natural resources.
