NETWORK CLOSETS PROJECT BEFORE EXAMPLE PICTURE As LAN/Telecom team lead and project manager, I initiated and got approval for the organization and cleanup of the IDFs, BDFs, and MDFs on the campus composing of about 50 network closets. This project was created to save the company time and money in the network administration processes. The photo below is an example of the identified issues and problems that were against our networking and telecommunication standards and slowed the troubleshooting process down. Troubleshooting and new connections with this type of disaster took an average of 25 mins. to resolve.
- 2. NETWORK CLOSETS PROJECT AFTER EXAMPLE PICTURE We successfully completed the project cleaning up and organizing all of the IDFs, BDFs, and MDFs network closets on the campus. The network and telecommunication troubleshooting and new network and telecommunication connections now take less than 5 minutes to complete making an average of 80% improvement with time management.
