Deut 33:27
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath
are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the
enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy
them.
And he likes talking about it.
Isa 45:10-11
10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father,
What begettest thou?
or to the woman,
What hast thou brought forth?
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel,
and his Maker,
Ask me of things to come concerning my sons,
and concerning the work of my hands

Isa 11:15-16
15 And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the
Egyptian sea;

and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the
river,
and shall smite it in the seven streams,
and make men go over dryshod.
16 And there shall be an highway
for the remnant of his people,
which shall be left, from Assyria;
like as it was to Israel
in the day that he came up
out of the land of Egypt.
I. Picture
The Nation of Israel is a picture of Jesus
Num 24:8 God brought him forth out of Egypt;
he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn:
he shall eat up the nations his enemies,
and shall break their bones,
and pierce them through with his arrows.
Hos 11:1 When Israel was a child,
then I loved him,
and called my son out of Egypt.

Matt 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the
Lord by the prophet, saying,
Out of Egypt have I called my son.
1Cor 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed
them:
and that Rock was Christ.

it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of
the land of Egypt.

Never alone
Israel was not alone in the 'house of bondage' Jesus
was there with them. Dan 3:25; Isa 48:10

Isa 42:6
I the LORD have called thee in righteousness,
and will hold thine hand,
and will keep thee,
and give thee for a covenant of the people,
for a light of the Gentiles;
Isa 42:24-25
24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil,
and Israel to the robbers?
did not the LORD,
he against whom we have sinned?
for they would not walk in his ways,
neither were they obedient unto his law.
25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of
his anger,
and the strength of battle:
and it hath set him on fire round about,
yet he knew not;
and it burned him,
yet he laid it not to heart.
Isa 43:2 When thou passest through the waters,
I will be with thee;
and through the rivers,
they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire,

thou shalt not be burned;
neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy
burnt offerings;
neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices.
I have not caused thee to serve with an offering,
nor wearied thee with incense.
24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money,

but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins,
thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob,
and to restore the preserved of Israel:
I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles,
that thou mayest be my salvation
unto the end of the earth.
Isa 42:1
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect,
in whom my soul delighteth;
I have put my spirit upon him:
he shall bring forth judgment
to the Gentiles.
Isa 60:3
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,

and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

A light to lighten the Gentiles,
