February Bicycle-Pedestrian Plan
The first public meeting for our ongoing bicycle and pedestrian planning process was
held on Wednesday, February 25th
at the Scott County Extension Office. We had great
attendance and are putting together recommendations to bring back to the public in the
coming months. In the meantime, we would love to get your input! We’ve created a
survey where you can identify locations you would like to see improvements to bicycle
and pedestrian facilities within the county. You can also tell us more about your biking
and walking habits or desires. Please follow this link to visit our survey online: https://
docs.google.com/forms/d/1vev0p8adKRissieRMeiqN0cUQmq3udFY9s_NddFmKvI/
viewform. You may also access the link from our office’s dedicated bike-ped planning
page: www.gscplanning.com/bikeped. We’ll post to the website periodically through the
process, so check back for updates!

Mapping Your World
While the last of the snow
piles from the most recent
storm were melting away, we
were already thinking about
next winter. Ryan is currently
working with the City Engi-
neer and Public Works De-
partment to map out the prior-
itization of snow plowing
routes for Georgetown. The
map will assist City officials
and workers as they plan for
and serve the community dur-
ing inclement weather events.
When those routes are final-
ized, we’ll have an address-
searchable webmap you can
use to help you plan your day
when winter weather strikes!
Meet Mark Sulski
The newest member of the Planning Com-
mission is Mark Sulski, Market President of
Kentucky Bank. Mark and his family moved
to Georgetown in 2010 from Chicago. He
and his wife of 26 years, Kelli, have three
children, ages 25, 16, and 8.
Mark is active in several civic organiza-
tions. “I want to make a difference in the city
in which I live. I want to help maintain a
great community where people can feel safe
raising a family.” Welcome, Mark!
Website is up and running!
Our new website has finally been launched and has many new features that we hope
will make navigating the site easier and provide access to the information and resources
you need. One addition of note is that the staff report for each project that is heard by
the Planning Commission is now available on the site so that interested parties can be-
come familiar with the issues and recommendations that will be discussed. And don’t
forget that the agenda for each meeting is also posted the week prior to the meeting. So
check it out, and let us know what you think . . . http://www.gscplanning.com.
Election of Officers
The Planning Commission held their annual election of officers at the March meeting.
The new officers are: Chairman, Rob Jones; Vice Chair, John Shirley; Executive Com-
mittee: Rob Jones, John Shirley, Janet Holland, and Steve Smith.
Thank you to all those who attend-
ed the first public meeting for the
Bicycle-Pedestrian Plan.
