Norway has a population of around 5.3 million people, though its birth rate is low and aging population is increasing. While Norway currently has a young population between 15-28 years old, this may not continue in the long run. Norway experiences both emigration of citizens to countries with better economic opportunities as well as immigration from other areas. The climate is cold, with temperatures rarely rising above 0 degrees Celsius and occasionally dropping below -50 degrees. A majority of Norway's active workforce is engaged in the tertiary sector, with around 18% in secondary industries like manufacturing and 2.7% in the primary sectors such as fishing.
