- 5. COLOR CODES Quotes, Agendas and Bellringers Homework Quizzes Notes Put this key in the upper left hand corner of the first page in your notebook. These are the colors you will use when writing each of these assignments in your “Table of Contents” and in rest of the notebook.
- 6. LABELING THE TITLE PAGE Put your name, class name and period and my name in the upper right hand corner of the first page of your notebook. On the title line of the first page in your notebook, label this page “Table of Contents.” Organize the entire page into 3 columns: 1st column on the left hand side of the page, about 2 inches. Label this at the top of the column “Page #” 2nd column in the center of the page, about 5 inches wide. Label this at the top of the column “Title.” 3rd column on the right hand side of the page, about 1 inch wide. Label this at the top of the column “Grade.”
- 7. IT SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS… FOLLOW THE COLOR CODES WHEN WRITING THE TITLE OF THE ASSIGNMENT.
- 8. ALL SUBSEQUENT PAGES IN THIS SECTION SHOULD HAVE THE SAME 3 COLUMNS. YOU WILL FILL IN THE REST OF THE PAGES OF THE FIRST SECTION WITH YOUR TABLE OF CONTENTS FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. YOU SHOULD WRITE ON THE FRONT AND BACK OF EACH PAGE.
- 9. BEGINNING ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE NEXT SECTION, YOU WILL CREATE YOUR UNIT PAGE. PUT PAGE “1” IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER.
- 10. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO CREATE A UNIT PAGE AS WE GO ALONG…
- 11. ON THE BACK OF PAGE 1, LABEL PAGE 2 AND BEGIN WRITING ASSIGNMENTS USING THE COLOR CODES ESTABLISHED.
- 12. BE SURE TO PUT THE PAGE # IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF EACH PAGE AS YOU GO ALONG. FEEL FREE TO DRAW THINGS TO HELP IN NOTES OR OUTLINES.
- 13. HANDOUTS SHOULD BE GLUED ON A PAGE, EITHER TAKING UP THE FULL PAGE OR FOLDED IN HALF.
