2. Tenses are word that show the time of an
action, an event, or a situation.
Tenses are used to show whether the
action is happening at that time, is
completed or is habitual.
4. The Simple Present Tense is used
to:
Give a fact or some information which is
true at the time of speaking.
To show a repeated or habitual action.
To express a fact or information which is
true all the time.

When we use I, you, we, they or plural
nouns, we do not add ‘s’ or ‘es’ to the action
verb.
For non-action verb or ‘be’ verb, we say
( I) am….
(he/she/it ) is….
(you, we, they) are……
6. Simple Present tense is used to
show a truth or a fact.

1.The sun rises in the east.

3.A butcher is a person who sells

All verbs in instructional statements
must be root words.

Uncountable nouns are considered as
singular nouns. This means they must
be followed by verbs ending in ‘s’ or ‘es’.

Pronoun ‘I’ do not use verb ending in ‘s’
or ‘es’.
