This document presents a novel approach for video transmission evaluation using Combined Scalable Video Coding (CSVC) over a wireless broadband network. It highlights the challenges related to bandwidth fluctuations and compares two scalable modes, Coarse Grain Scalability (CGS) and Medium Grain Scalability (MGS), revealing that MGS outperforms CGS. The proposed evaluation framework aims to provide a more effective assessment of video transmission quality in diverse network conditions, using tools like Network Simulator II (NS-2).
