Optimum Clinicals
NTT DATA has developed an intuitive application that helps caregivers gain a comprehensive
view of patient information -- Optimum Clinicals, a web-enabled suite of clinical applications that
work together to bring complete patient information directly to the point of service, improving
clinical decision making, enhancing collaborative care, and reducing medical errors. This
clinician-friendly system provides a single, consolidated view of the complete patient record,
anytime, anywhere — whether at the hospital, a patient’s bedside, the physician’s office, or at the
clinic, thereby helping clinicians improve the delivery of care.

Sophisticated Technology
Optimum Clinicals are equipped with sophisticated tools that work together to improve patient
safety, enhance patient care, and increase productivity. The system leverages web and wireless
access, providing clinicians with critical patient information in real time to help make informed
decisions.
To ensure quality care, patient information must be accurate and accessible to multiple providers
in multiple locations. NTT DATA’s software solutions provide secure, browser-based access to
complete patient information. Our systems carefully document care and intuitively guide
clinicians to the next logical step in the care giving process. And, unlike some systems that
require mandatory data purging, Optimum Clinicals allows organizations to keep patient records
indefinitely — offering quick and convenient access to both current and historical data when and
where it’s needed. With Optimum Clinicals, there is no need to search through archives or waste
time trying to find hard copy records.
The Tools to Improve Care
Optimum Clinicals provides the tools to foster collaborative efforts and improve decision making
at the point of care. At the forefront of Optimum’s impressive list of benefits is the assurance that
patients in your facility receive the best care available. Clinicians are provided with immediate
access to a complete patient record, anytime and anywhere, as well as online access to images,
EKGs, and PACS — which greatly improves efficiency by allowing clinicians to read transcribed
documents and review films at the same time.
Clinicians have immediate access to a complete patient history, including orders, test/lab results,
clinical findings, and digitally-captured images. All are available to assist in making better-
informed treatment decisions, providing patient care effectively and efficiently, reducing medical
errors, and improving patient safety.
The Electronic Health Record Advantage
The Optimum product line has been certified as a Complete Hospital EHR by the Certification
Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with
the certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012
criteria support the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and
hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Optimum goes beyond the basic components of CPOE and the Electronic Medication
Administration Record (eMAR) to provide an active, interoperable data repository, allowing for
automated data entry of complete patient health information via bar coding, scanning, electronic
transcription, direct data entry, or real-time connections with third-party systems.
Leading Technology, Ensuring Security
In designing our systems, we ensure the integrity of patient data is maintained and the privacy
and security of personal health information always remains a priority. NTT DATA’s systems
have had a long history of assisting healthcare organizations in exceeding strict regulations set
forth by HIPAA and The Joint Commission.

AR days, and improve overall operations. With secure access from multiple locations, patient
information and financials are communicated immediately and seamlessly throughout the
healthcare system.
