One direction part 1

This lesson is purely about each of the boys.
It’s basically who they are, whereas the
rest of the lectures about them will be
more of a story format chronicling their
journey.

One Direction is composed of five
members:
 Louis Tomlinson
 Zayn Malik
 Liam Payne
 Niall Horan
 And Harry Styles

 Full name: Louis William Tomlinson
 Birthday: December 24th, 1991. Oldest
member of the group
 Born: Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England
 Biological parents: Troy and Johanna
 Siblings: Charlotte (14), Georgia (13),
Felicite (12), Daisy (8), and Phoebe (8). All
younger.
 Known as: The Sassy one. Also, known for his
huge butt.

Louis’ parents divorced
when he was very
young. His mother
remarried later to Mark
Tomlinson, whose last
name Louis took on.
All of his siblings are
Mark and Johannah’s
children with the
exception of
Charlotte, who is from
Mark’s previous
marriage.

 Louis attended Hall
Cross School, as well
as the Hayfield
School
 Attended acting
school in Barnsley
 Starred in his school’s
production of
Grease (in which he
mooned the
audience).

 He is currently dating
Eleanor Calder, a
University student
attending the
University of
Manchester
 He previously dated
Hannah Walker, his
costar in Grease

 Full Name: Zayn Javvadd Malik
 Bithday: January 12, 1993
 Born: West Lane, Baildon, Bradford,
England
 Biological Parents: Yaser and Patricia
 Siblings: Doniya, Waliyha, and Safaa.
 Known as: the egocentric one (even
though he’s not actually THAT vain)

Zayn and his family are
Muslim, so
unfortunately they
have received a lot of
hate. Haters called
Zayn a “terrorist,” and
after a long while of
this, Zayn deactivated
his twitter back in the
summer of 2012. He
reactivated it a few
days later, apologizing
to the fans for leaving.
Come on, how can you
hate this guy?

When Zayn was put
through bootcamp
on the X Factor 2010,
he refused to dance.
Simon Cowell had to
personally go back
stage and convince
him to keep trying.

 Zayn smokes. He has
said repeatedly that
he will quit, but no
noticable action has
been taken yet.
 Also, he has a LOT of
tattoos.
 He has previously
dated Geneva Lane,
Rebecca Ferguson,
and is currently dating
Perrie Edwards, a
member of Little Mix.

 Full Name: Liam James Payne
 Birthday: August 29, 1993
 Born: Wolverhampton, West Midlands,
England
 Biological Parents: Geoff and Karen
 Siblings: Nicola and Ruth. Both older.
 Known as: the responsible one

Liam was a preemie of 3
weeks, resulting in health
problems. One of his
kidney’s was extremely
scarred and was not
working properly. As a
result, he was in a lot of
pain. To cope, he had 32
injections into his arm
twice a day when he
was a child. As of 2012,
the doctors have found
that his kidney is now
properly functioning and
healthy.

Liam was bullied a lot
during school. Because
of this, he took up boxing
in order to protect
himself.
Also, Liam wanted to be an
Olympic Runner, and
only narrowly missed out
when he was 14 to
joining the England
schools team. This is also
the same age he tried
out for the X factor the
first time.

 Full Name: Niall James Horan
 Birthday: September 13th, 1993
 Born: Mullingar, County Westmeath,
Ireland
 Biological Parents: Bobby and Maura
 Siblings: Greg, who is older.
 Known as: the one who never stops
eating.

 His parents divorced when
he was 5. He ended up
living with his dad
 He attended Coliaste
Mhuire, which is an all boys
Christian school.
 He plays guitar
 He is the only member of
the band who does NOT
have a tattoo
 He dated Holly Scally
before X Factor, but has
been single since the
band’s formation. He
claims to be looking for “his
princess”
 He. Loves. Nandos.

 He has been “linked” to
Demi Lovato and Amy
Green. Also, there is
suspicion he has a crush on
Kendall Jenner.
 He tweets the most out of
all the members of the
band, with Liam in close
second.
 He is the sweetest mofo on
the planet.
 His teeth were slightly
messed up (to hollywood
standards, anyway), but he
fixed his teeth recently and
just had his braces
removed!
 He has the voice of an angel

 Full Name: Harold Edward Styles
 Birthday: February 1st, 1994. The youngest.
 Born: Holmes Evesham, Worcester, England.
(moved to Holmes Chapel, Chesire,
England, where he says he hails from)
 Biological Parents: Anne and Des
 Siblings: Gemma, who is older.
 Known as: the ladies man, and also the
cupcake.

 Was the lead singer of
the band White Eskimo
 His parents divorced
when he was 7, his
mother than remarried
to Robin Twist.
 He attended Holmes
Chapel
Comprehensive
School

Harry has a (false)
reputation as a
womanizer and player.
He has been linked to
Caroline Flack, Cara
Delvigne, Emma
Ostilly, and most
recently Taylor Swift,
not to mention the
millions of other girls
the media has linked
him to. He has actually
dated Felicity Skinner,
Caroline Flack, and
(allegedly) Taylor Swift.

 So. Many. Tattoos.
 Harry’s favorite color is
orange
 He likes cats.
 He is both a cupcake and
a sex god at the same
time. I know what you’re
thinking, but it IS possible.
 Also, he has shown a
penchant for working out
recently.
 Harry donates to charity
often, and has a strong
stance against objectifying
women, as well as calling
anyone fat.

I’d like to apolgize if I have messed up any
of this information. Also, I’d just like to
inform you that there is NO way I could fit
all of the information about the boys on
here. I might post a follow-up lecture to
this (MAYBE, I MAKE NO PROMISES)
including some of the information I’ve
left out. This is just the basics.

 I would like you to pick one of the boys and write me a
short “biography” using this information as well as your
own research over them. This should be at least two
paragraphs, but you obviously don’t need to write a
whole book about it. Aim for a page, but if you don’t get
there it’ll probably be fine. I grade easy, don’t worry.
 Grading criterea: 40 points content correctness and
fullness, 40 points information that was NOT in the
powerpoint, 20 points conventions (grammar, spelling,
etc.)
 This paper is due next Thursday at 11:59 PM GMT, because
I’m just going to go by UK time to make it simpler for all of
us.
 Also, I will be posting a quiz of sorts next Tuesday for you all
to take over this information. It will be pretty basic, I’ll post
a “guide” as to what information you should memorize.
