- 2. 2 ABSTRACT Online Examination System is web based application for technical evaluation. Online Examination System not only replace paperwork but also releases the workload of faculty. It fulfills the requirements of the institutes to conduct the exams online. Students can give exam without the need of going to any physical destination. They can view the result at the same time. Thus the purpose of the site is to provide a system that saves the efforts and time of Faculty. .
- 3. 3 INTRODUCTION Online Examination is the project that goes around the details of online examination. It is the project that is intended to make the examination process fair, faster and reliable. This project has been developed for web application as client/server model. The code easily reflects the intensity of our zeal to make our application stable and user friendly for the user to understand it well. Since the user is the ultimate person to make maximum application, the interface has been designed with end users viewpoint. It provides easier navigation throughout the application wherever required. The stability is the corner stone of application when the application is active
- 4. 4 OBJECTIVE The main objective of the project is to consume the time and work. This document contains a description for “Online Examination” enhancement. This document will contain the functional requirements of the project and how the developers will enhance the project to achieve all the objectives. 1. User friendly Interface 2. - 5. 5 PROBLEM STATEMENT Electronic examination has been highly interested and suitable in both educational and pedagogical aspects. Examination is one of the best methods of evaluating the knowledge and ability of an individual. To this end, various methods has been employed in examining the ability of an individual, starting from manual means of using paper and pencil to electronic, from oral to written, practical to theoretical and many others. The present information technology means of examining students is the use of electronic systems in place of manual or paper method which was characterized by massive examination leakages, impersonations, demand for gratification by teachers, bribe-taking by supervisors and invigilators of examinations.

- 14. 14 CONCLUSION This Project gives rich functionalities for the Administrator. The project is developed using php as front-end and My SQL as back-end. There are most widely used Software Development tools in php that is required for developing database as creation of tables and other details. This project greatly reduces the manpower error and time consumption. It benefits for the college by reducing the complexity involved in the allocation of exam duty. As all the work of allocation of exam duty is computerized and also faculties are allocated automatically the percentage of doing mistakes will be reduced. All the details of student information, faculty information, exam time table information, exam duty allocation information are to be stored in the database thus one can access the information whenever needed.
- 15. 15 FUTURE ENHANCEMENT •The project can be further improved by adding more number of functionalities. •We can implement this tool at institute level. •By upgrading this tool we can provide facility of fee payments and other related payments. •The project can be extended for further requirement of the Administer or the Institutional changes. •We can upgrade this tool to web based application.
