Your Laptop is 
Your Responsibility 
Take active responsibility for the management, 
care and safety of your laptop. 
 Lock your laptop away at recess/lunchtime/before and after 
school. 
 Remove your laptop from your school bag if the bag is going 
to be left unattended. 
 Treat all school bags with respect. They may have an 
expensive laptop in them! 
 Keep all food and drink away from your laptop to avoid 
accidental damage.

Every Night: 
Recharge your laptop battery 
Backup your personal data

Do not record anything on 
devices in class or on School 
grounds or excursions, 
unless your teacher gives 
specific permission.

appropriate manner. 
Report inappropriate 
websites to teachers.

Ensure that online information 
does not bring you or your 
School into disrepute.

Easy for you to remember but not easy

Change your password if you suspect 
someone else knows it.

password every 3 months.

File storage is for schoolwork, not 
games, music, movies, etc. 
ICT Services will delete and restrict 
access and file storage to 100mb in 
the first instance, and then to 50mb 
for a repeated offence.
