Study conducted by Americans for the Arts The Economic Impact of Nonprofit Arts and Culture Organizations and Their Audiences Study covered 156 communities in all 50 states & District of Columbia Data collected from 6,080 arts & culture organizations and 94,478 of their attendees Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing & serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in & appreciate all forms of the arts.
Non profit Arts & Culture generate $166.2 billion in economic activity annually $63.1 billion in arts organization spending $103.1 billion in audience spending
5.7 million FTE jobs $104.2 billion household income $7.9 billion local government revenue $9.1 billion state government revenue $12.6 billion in Federal Income Taxes
A modest arts organization with expenditures of only  $75,000  generates: $98,910  in audience expenditures for total industry impact of  $173,910 4.7  FTE jobs $81,153  in additional household income $6,344  local government revenue $7,478  state government revenue
2000 to 2005 non profit arts & culture industry grew 24% Arts & culture organizations spending increased 19% Audience spending increased 28%

Charter membership for two years  - Until 2/1/11 Members vote at annual meeting for Board & Officers Volunteer  opportunities Updates via e-mail Various members only benefits  as negotiated with arts groups In-Kind memberships are welcome!
