- 5. .تجاهلتها, ورميتها بنظرة مليئة بالكره .I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out
- 6. وفي اليوم التالي قال أحد التلمذة ... أمك بعين واحده ... أووووه The next day at school one of my classmates said, "!"EEEE, your mom only has one eye
- 7. وحينها تمنيت أن أدفن نفسي .وأن تختفي امي من حياتي I wanted to bury myself. .I also wanted my mom to just disappear
- 8. : في اليوم التالي واجهتها !!لقد جعل ِ مني أضحوكة, ِم ل تموتين ؟ ل ت So I confronted her that day and said, " If you're only gonna make me a "!!!?laughing stock, why don't you just die
- 9. !!!ولكنها لم ُجب ت !!!My mom did not respond
- 10. لم أكن مترددً فيما قلت ولم أفكر بكلمي لني كنت ا . ًغاضب ً جد ا ا I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I .was full of anger
- 11. ... ولم أبالي لمشاعرها …I was oblivious to her feelings
- 12. ..وأردت مغادرة المكان ..I wanted out of that house
- 13. درست بجد وحصل ُ على منحة للدراسة ت .في سنغافورة .So I studied real hard, got a chance to go to Singapore to study
- 14. .. وفع ً.. ذهبت .. ودرست .. ثم تزوجت ل واشتريت بيت ً .. وأنجبت أولدً وكنت ا ا .سعيدً ومرتاح ً في حياتي ا ا Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life
- 15. وفي يوم من اليام ..أتت أمي لزيارتي ولم تكن قد !ًرأتني منذ سنوات ولم ترى أحفادها أبد ا Then one day, my mother came to visit me. She hadn't seen me in years .!and she didn't even meet her grandchildren
- 16. ...وقفت على الباب وأخذ أولدي يضحكون .When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her
- 17. ..صرخت: كيف تجرأ ِ وأتيت لتخيفي اطفالي؟ ت !!!ً اخرجي حا ل I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my children!" "!!!GET OUT OF HERE! NOW
- 18. أجابت بهدوء: )آسفة .. أخطأ ٌ العنوان ت ....على ما يبدو(.. واختفت .And to this, my mother quietly answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry .I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared out of sight
- 19. وذات يوم وصلتني رسالة من المدرسة تدعوني .لجمع الشمل العائلي .One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house
- 20. فكذبت على زوجتي وأخبرتها أنني سأذهب في ...رحلة عمل …So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip
- 21. بعد الجتماع ذهبت الى البيت القديم الذي كنا .!!!نعيش فيه, للفضول فقط .!!!After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity
- 22. .أخبرني الجيران أن أمي.... توفيت .My neighbors said that she died
- 23. !! لم أذرف ولو دمعة واحدة .!!I did not shed a single tear
- 24. .... قاموا بتسليمي رسالة من أمي …They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have
- 25. ..ابني الحبيب.. لطالما فكرت بك ..My dearest son, I think of you all the time"
- 26. .آسفة لمجيئي إلى سنغافورة وإخافة أولدك .I'm sorry that I came to Singapore and scared your children
- 27. كنت سعيدة جدً عندما سمع ُ أنك سوف تأتي ت ا .للجتماع .I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion
- 28. .ولكني قد ل أستطيع مغادرة السرير لرؤيتك .But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you
- 29. آسفة لنني سببت لك الحراج مرا ٍ ومرات في ت .حياتك .I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up
- 30. ا ًهل تعلم... لقد تعرض َ لحاد ٍ عندما كنت صغير ث ت .وقد فقد َ عينك ت You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost .your eye
- 31. ...ٍ وكأي أم, لم استطع أن أتركك تكبر بعي ٍ واحد ة ن As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with one .eye
- 32. ..... و ِذا... أعطيت َ عيني ك ل ..…So… I gave you mine
- 33. وكن ُ سعيدة وفخورة جدً لن ابني يستطيع رؤية ا ت .العالم بعيني I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in .my place, with that eye

- 36. سبحان ال: إذا كانت هذه رحمة الم بولدها فكيف برحمة ال سبحانه؟!! يقول رسول ال صلى ال عليه وسلم في الحديث: عن أبي هريرة رضي ال عنه عن النبي صلى ال عليه وسلم أنه قال: ) إن ل مئة رحمة قسم منها رحمة بين جميع الخلئق بها يتراحمون و بها يتعاطفون و بها تعطف الوحش على أولدها وأخر تسعة وتسعين رحمة يرحم بها عباده يوم القيامة (
- 37. ويقول أيضً: ا ) عن عمر بن الخطاب أنه قدم على رسول ال صلى ال عليه وسلم بسبي فإذا امرأ ٌ من السبي تبتغي إذا وجدت صبي ً في السبي أخذته فألصقته ببطنها ا ة وأرضعته فقال لنا: أترون هذه المرأة طارح ً ولدها في النار؟ قلنا: ل وال – ة وهي تقدر أن ل تطرحه فقال: ال أرحم بعباده من هذه بولدها (

Omar Ebnulkhatab said:) Once upon a time while we had some captives we saw captive a woman taking babies, held them tight and .breast fed them The prophet asked us: Do you think this woman will throw his baby in fire? We said: :No if she has the choice Then He said:Allah is more merciful to ) .his worshiper than her with her sun
