PREVIEW:  The  Before: My first attempt at college.  Position  I realized where I should be and what I should be doing.  The  Shift: After My second and last go around with college.
THE BEFORE
THE BEFORE  My first attempt at college was a failure due to lack of effort.  Education was far from my top priority.  I was living in the present and ignoring my future.
THE BEFORE Going out during the week lead to… …not going to class.
THE BEFORE Not going to class lead to… …missed notes and assignments.
THE BEFORE Missed notes and assignments lead to… …failing final grades.
THE BEFORE Once I felt like I already had missed too much, I completely gave up on all of my classes and… I stopped attending COMPLETELY.
THE POSITION SHIFT
THE POSITION SHIFT I noticed my mistake when I watched all of my friends graduate a couple of years later. It made me upset but at the same time, it made me want to do it “the right way” even more.
THE POSITION SHIFT I started making things happen in the right direction. Started classes at NKU and boosted my GPA Decided to switch my major Applied to and transferred to UK
THE AFTER
THE AFTER  I am finally back on track with four semesters completed “the right way.”  Proper prioritization is second nature to me now.  Now that I do want it for myself, I am making sure it happens.
THE AFTER It is still a position shift in progress, but this time I have the right focus and motivation to complete it.
Conclusion
CONCLUSION You have the rest of your life to socialize. Get your education first.
