This document discusses a method for extracting parameters of photovoltaic (PV) modules using a Nonlinear Least Squares (NLS) algorithm, comparing its effectiveness with existing techniques like Villalva's method and the Modified Newton-Raphson technique. The NLS method improves the estimation of unknown parameters in a PV module, enhancing accuracy and reducing estimation time, validated through experimental data. It emphasizes the importance of these parameters for optimizing PV system design and maximizing output power.
