Particle Model

  Made by: William
Every object have particles.

Like example: table, book, oil, milk,
        oxygen, helium, others
Particle in three states of matter:
The particle in solid are: particles vibrate left and
right, front and back.

The particle in liquid are: particles have some
freedom and can move around each other.

The particle in gas are: particles that move freely
and at high speed.
How material change with temperature

Change in solid: When a solid is heated it expands and
when it cools it contracts. For example, when it is cool a
metal bar fits inside a metal gauge. Its end will also fit
through the hole in the gauge. When the bar has been
heated it will no longer fit in the gauge or in the hole.
When the bar cools down it will fit in the gauge and hole
again.
Changes in liquids when it is heated:
When liquid are heated they generally expand
much more than solid for a given temperature rise.
They also contract to their original volume when
they are cooled. When the water gets hot it
expands and rises up the glass tube. When the
water is allowed to cool the level of water in the
tube falls.
Changes in gases:

like most liquids and solid, gases expand when
they are heated and contract when they are
cooled. If a gas and a liquid undergo the same
temperature rise the gas expands about ten
          times more than the liquid.
