 To inform people about new things
 To build trust amongst people
 To develop better relationship
 To get help from people
 To express ourselves
Verbal and Nonverbal Communication
Parents are ideal for the children. Two tiny
eyes follow your behaviour.
Importance of verbal communication.
Language determines destiny.
Your self talk is communication with God.
Don’t waste your time criticizing others.
What you focus more it becomes true.
Don’t interfere and ask about others personal lives.
Avoid unnecessary sentences, record and observe it.
Words can heal any prejudice.
Never open mouth unless breaking the silence is worth.
The quality of life depends on the quality of your language.
Non verbal communication signs.
• Eye to eye contact.
• Standing position.
• Folding hand gesture.
• Open palm gesture .
• Palm rubbing gesture .
• Hand steeple gesture.
• Your toe speaks more about you .
• How to be a good listener.
• Scratching ear lobe.
• Hand clasp walk .
• How to recognize a liar.
Positive attitude
• Follow your dream 97% people are afraid.
• For child everything is possible.
• when you want something, the entire universe
conspires to give it to you.
• Ship is safe in the harbor but it is not made for
the harbor.
• People believe what they want to believe, so
don’t bother about the world.
• One can not be liked by all.
• "A person is what he thinks about all day
long."
Do’s and don’t while facing interviews.
• English communication. Pay more attention on your
mother tongue .
• Know about the company, organization or educational
institution, be aware of the organizational structure;
type of their clients/students; departments and its
branches; past and present achievements, aims and
objectives.
• Why you want to seek job in our firm or institution?
• Do not keep any negative opinion about the company,
face the interview without prejudice.
• Opinion about the panel is bad or negative there are
100% chances of failure in interview.
Personal Preparation
• Accept yourself, mirror theory.
• Read and re-read the relevant version of your
C.V./Resume. Many people can't remember
what they have written in their C.V.
• Simple living & high thinking is outdated, use
comfortable shoes and dress.
• High quality pen contributes to a polished
image.
• Be a good listener.
• Do not blame and complain about your past
institute or employees, it gives a warning bell to
the interviewer.
While giving Answers.
• You should not try to create self-protective barrier
between you and the interviewer, like keeping a brief
case on your knees, folded arms or crossed legs, it
creates bad impression.
• Actually if you find yourself among the strangers your
body’s defense mechanism naturally react with folding
hand gestures, be true with you, try to be very natural.
• Mark Twain that “If you tell the truth, you never have
to remember anything.”

Take a permission to sit on a chair. Show a positive and
confident attitude and introduce yourself.
• Don’t hesitate to make eye contact.
• Be comfortable and face the interviewer effectively.
• Listen to the questions keenly and answer it
genuinely.
• Answer every question with confidence.
• “Tell me about yourself.” One should be aware of
this so called ‘innocent’ question because many
times candidates, unprepared for the question,
impale themselves by confused, review,
inappropriate history of their life story. In easy
manner they express their secrets like, their past
job, the experience they had and sometimes
personal matters.
Before leaving the office.
• Do not complain about anything that you have
suffered from, eg, the call letter came too late,
the rude answers of receptionist, the train that
you could not get to come, never complain.
• You should know that the interviewers are not
interested to listen your complaints.
• After your interview seek the permission to leave
the cabin, keep smile on your face, and don’t
slant the door.
