Ben Combee is a senior engineer and PDK guru at Palm who spends 25 hours a day on Palm developer forums. The Plug-In Development Kit (PDK) allows developers to create fast machine code apps using C/C++ with OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0 for 3D graphics, SDL for 2D, and support for audio, video, touch input, accelerometer, keyboard. The PDK also provides services for location with GPS, networking with sockets and WiFi, and supports building and testing on Mac with the iOS simulator. Developers can create hybrid apps that mix JavaScript and PDK code.
