- 2. Version 1: Five Stages of Concerns 1. Entry stage addresses the uncertainty teachers may feel about their own ability to use the new technology in their classrooms. 2. Appropriation stage is the stage at which technology is used effortlessly as a tool for teaching. 5. - 5. 1. Awareness, Informational, Personal: Teachers at the beginning of a change process ask more self-oriented questions, about how a new technology will help them personally. 2.
