The precisely grounded low friction high durability carbon + stainless steel holder ring air
seals are used to prevent the compressed air from leaking out of the compression chamber.
The brass, internal square grooved visco-type seals are used to prevent the oil that
lubricates the gears and bearings from entering the compression chamber. The visco-type
seals generate a positive pressure to push the oil fumes back to the gear case.
