The disciples spent 10 days in fasting and prayer after Jesus' ascension to receive the Holy Spirit. On Pentecost, they experienced tongues of fire and began speaking in different languages so others could understand. About 3000 people then believed and were baptized after Peter preached to them about Jesus. The Holy Spirit came to be their teacher and helper.

- 4. Praying and Fasting10 days After the Ascension, the disciples returned back to Jerusalem as the Lord told them.They went up into the house of St. Mark where they stayed.They continued praying and fasting, with St. Mary the mother of God.

Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven like very strong wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.The Third Hour “ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, has come. - 8. Tongues of FireA flame of Fire appeared on the top of each of their heads! It did not burn any one or anythingIt came from God to bring the Holy Spirit to the disciples

- 14. What is everyone Saying?St. Peter then started talking to the people about the Lord Jesus Christ!The Holy Spirit of God helped the disciples when they talked -- so that the people can understand! What do you think they said?
- 16. How to believe?Now when they heard this, 3000 people believed!!!!They asked the apostles: “What shall we do?”
