registration of indigenous
communities
• During 2014-2017: 132 indigenous
communities has been entitled ( about
1,035,915 ha. )
• For 2018-2020, there are provision and
financial resources from the following
initiatives

2. Strengthening Monitoring Capacities to Indigenous Peoples
• 13 Regional Indigenous Organizations from AIDESEP (9) and CONAP (4) are receiving technical assistance
and equipment building up a MRV capacity and improving the indigenous approach to the National
Monitoring System (MMCB)

3. Forest Conservation Mechanism in Indigenous Communities (TDC)
• 2 million ha (2018) in native communities (conditioned direct transfer payments - TDCs) program in
indigenous communities
• 129 native communities with plan of life
• Support of REDD+ with and indigenous approach (RIA)
4. Participative Proceses
Prior Consultation for the Climate Change Framework Law (MINAM)
• 7 IP national organizations are participating in the Prior Consultation process OOII
• 16 meetings are planned for the information phase.
New Instrument like benefit-sharing and safeguards monitoring are still pending at
we are building participatory.
