Log In to PetroWiki
Special editing tabs are only visible after login
What are Headings
A heading is a
title, subtitle,
or topic.
The headings tell
the reader what is
covered in a
specific section.
Why Headings
Headings are important in the
creation of the
Table of Contents
Heading levels are important in
proper organization of all
Petrowiki content
Create Headings in the Wikitext Tab
Changes are achieved by:
wikitext code for headings “=“
or
the dropdown menu located under the advanced tab.
Headings can be added, updated, and/or deleted within the Wikitext tab.
Add Headings and Sub Headings: With the Menu Bar
The Heading drop
down list is located
under the
“Advanced” options.
To create the heading
……….. the intended
word or phrase and
select the heading
level desired within
the dropdown box.
This will insert the
correct number of “=“
to create the heading.
Highlight
The Heading drop
down list is located
under the
“Advanced” options.
To create the Heading
without having a prior
word or phrase:
Place the cursor on the
line desired.
Select the heading level
desired within the
dropdown menu.
This will insert the
phrase “Heading text”
and the correct number
of “=“ to create the
desired heading

Level 1 is reserved for the Title Page only.
Never use Level 1 unless otherwise instructed by
PetroWiki administrators.
