Option #1 – Texas Summer Reading Program (CSLP)
Too late for Summer 2016?
Perhaps not!
 Ordering deadline: Oct/Nov 2015
 News from Texas State Library:
 Too late to get program manual and free items.
 Bookmarks, posters, prizes, etc. can still be
ordered through CSLP after March 1st but call to
check delivery date.
2016 Theme – Sports & Fitness
 Slogans:
 Teens: “Get in the Game – Read”
 All-ages: “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read”
Decide the fundamentals
 Will the participants earn prizes for reading a
certain number of books?
 Will there be weekly prizes?
 Will there be a drawing for a big prize?
 Will you host special events?
 Contact local businesses for funding & prize
donations
Determine what elements to
include:
 Reading logs?
 Bookmarks?
 Book bags?
 Prizes?
Order supplies ASAP!!!
 Check with CSLP
 Order additional supplies and incentives from:
 Demco
 Upstart
 Oriental Trading
 Rhode Island Novelty
