The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien tells the story of Bilbo Baggins and a group of dwarves who go on a quest to reclaim the dwarf kingdom of Erebor from the dragon Smaug. Along the way they face many dangers including goblins, giant spiders, wood-elves, and the creature Gollum. They eventually reach the Lonely Mountain where Smaug is killed, sparking a war against the goblins and wargs that is won with the help of eagles and Beorn.
