Burger Model!
The top bun is your POINT.
There are those who argue that the
internet has had an extremely positive
influence on communication
The meat burger is your EXPLANATION
They say this because in the past it was
sometimes impossible to call people in
other countries on the telephone, but now
it is relatively simple to use a program
such as Skype to talk to them for free or
to send an email.
The bun on the bottom is your
EXAMPLE
A good example here are the students who
go to study abroad and are able to send
messages home with no difficulty, when in
past they would have had to buy stamps
and go to the post office which was much
harder and more expensive.

Your turn! Mark P.E.E
A strong argument can of course be made
from the opposite position. Part of this
argument is that technology takes jobs
away from humans. Examples include
more cash machines and less staff in
banks. In factories, fewer people are
required as the production line becomes
more mechanised.

Task 2
While there may be benefits to this technological
revolution, there are also a number of potential
dangers. Perhaps the most serious of these would
be that if people rely on computers too much for
communication, they could in fact begin to
communicate less well. For example, if every member
of a family had their own computer screen and smart
phone, they might speak less and less often to one
another and simply look at a screen. This would be
serious because our ability to communicate is an
essential part of our humanity.
