Post 8 – What I found with my questionnaire
In this questionnaire, I asked my college class to fill out this
questionnaire of Microsoft forms. A questionnaire is important
because a questionnaire is a very convenient way of collecting
information from a large number of people within a period of
time. Hence, the design of the questionnaire is of utmost
importance to ensure accurate data is collected so that the
results are interpretable and generalisable. Question1 was the
obvious 100% of the respondents were aged between 16-24
which links to my target audience because TikTok and Disney
are aimed to a younger demographic Question 2 more than half
of the respondents say that they use TikTok a couple times a
day meaning they are interested in the content to which the
creators on the app produce. Question 3 stated that 80% of the
respondents have TikTok downloaded on their phone meaning
the app is very popular in our age range.
Question 4 – 60% of people said they only enjoy he content
on TikTok when there’s things, they’re interested in
otherwise the app would bore them. 20% said they disliked
watching TikTok’s and the otter 20% said they enjoyed
watching TikTok so the majority of people like using the app.
Question 5 was a fair split 50% male and 50% women
answered this questionnaire meaning we get a fair opinion
on both sides. Question 6 people love seeing anything that is
funny, entertaining, music related or review related.
Question 7 – 90% of the respondents have TikTok for fun and
10% have it for a serious matter which leads on to question 8
with the 10% having over 10k followers on TikTok. It ranges
from around 100-1000 followers within the whole class.
Question 9 60% of the lass dislike posting content and 40%
said they enjoy posting content. In my personal opinion, I
believe that the majority of the younger demographic have
more entertainment watching other people’s videos.
Question 10- 70% of people’s families use TikTok too
meaning it is a very popular platform and is well known.
100% of people are familiar with Disney which will make
my new product successful. Also, in question 12 there’s
loads of examples of Disney films which I will review.
Post 9 – Market research
Market research
 Who are TikTok's competitors? TikTok has a number of high-profile
competitors. TikTok's competitors include Clash, Triller, Dubsmash,
Instagram, Byte, Funimate, Lomotif, Cheez, Vigo Video, KWAI, Likee,
Firework, and VideoShow, Disney +
 YouTube is a competitor, and this explains why. YouTube is the world's
third most popular online destination because viewers, especially those
of a younger demographic, can relate to the authenticity of user-
generated content. In addition to their own content, popular YouTubers
are utilizing traditional media to build their personal brand.
 Posting regularly is one of the ingredients on how to be an Instagram
success. This requires you to be very active. Ideally, you should be
posting a least once a day. If you can post more than that, 2-3 times a
day will get you the most reach and engagement, especially to grow
your account.
 TikTok is owned by the Chinese media company Douyin. TikTok's main
selling point is that it features built-in recording and editing capabilities
that make it easy for content creators to quickly record, edit, and post
video content on the platform–and have them go viral when done right.
 When it comes to TikTok, there is a vast market of people looking for
micro-entertainment and distraction for a few minutes during the day. If
a video is interesting or appealing, it is reshared quickly by the
algorithm on the 'For You' page and gains millions of views. The unique
aspect of TikTok is the vast variety of audience member types who view
and post on the platform. Like other social media platforms like
YouTube or Facebook, TikTok has figured out its own way to give the
platform an addictive quality.
Question 13 100% of people believe it will be
successful which will help me develop my brand
further and 100% said Disney films would be a good
idea to review since its aimed at younger demographic.
People would not rate TikTok so highly which is a
downside it was rated 5.5/10 and Disney was rated a
great 8/10. – For all questions 13-16
 A gap in the market is an opportunity to offer something that customers
want but that businesses aren't currently providing. The term "gap"
refers to the difference between supply and demand for that offering. A
gap in the market is a business opportunity. It's when you've identified
something that customers need, but it isn't currently available. This
could be something that's completely unique, an improvement on an
existing idea, or a way to introduce something to a different market.
