- 2. Jay-Z – Blueprint 3 This CD cover is very abstract. Genre – Rap/Hip Hop It shows that Jay-Z loves his music, you cant tell this by the many instruments he has included on the cover. Jay-Z is trying to say that because the album cover is unique, his music style in this album will be unique and different. This album cover doesn’t represent the stereotypical Rap and Hip Hop Genre.
- 3. Wiley – Playtime Is Over In this cover Wiley has made the album cover match the name of the album, by using a playground in his shoot. Genre - Grime The playground is sprayed black, and at a glance doesn’t look very friendly. Wiley is also dressed in black and has put his hood up, this shows his serious attitude. It is a dark and grimy scene, this represents Wiley’s genre of music.
- 4. Ludacris Theatre Of Mind In this cover Ludacris has placed himself in various places in the theatre, using different facial expressions and body language. Genre - Rap Ludacris has his feet up at the front of theatre with a chilled out body language. He is saying to the buyers sit back and enjoy the show, this is how I take his album cover. The position he is sitting is showing his autority abover everyone else, and to show that he is the most dominant rapper out there. This cover isn’t a typical Rap cover but it suits Ludacris now because he is out of the Gangsta phase.

Drake – So Far Gone This album shows a person climbing above the name of the words in the album title, this tells us that Drake wants to be at the top of the Rap industry, Drake’s nickname is ‘ Heartbreak Drake ’ this is why the many hearts are floating at the top coloured in Red to show the it is a main factor of his album, as this album is mainly about the many women in Drake’s life. Genre – Rap/R&B This cover doesn’t represent the typical Rap cover that a Rap artist would have.
- 6. KiD CuDi – Man On The Moon This album is has a very surreal and chilled flow to it, which is what KiD CuDi is known for in his music. Man On The Moon suggests that KiD CuDi feels spaced out perhaps because from some of the tracks he sounds like he is high on weed. The face linking into the moon acts like a brain and the influence to why he raps. Genre – Rap This is a very abstract cover and doesn’t look like a typical rap cover but KiD CuDi isn’t your typical rapper.
- 7. Eminem – The Eminem Show Eminem is not in the spotlight on this cover, this shows that in real life he is tired of being in the spotlight all the time. He is behind the curtains, and doesn’t seem full of confidence he seems like he is thinking. This is not a typical rap cover, but because Eminem is white he can’t do, act or say what a black rapper can. Genre - Rap
- 8. T.I. – Paper Trail The term ‘Paper Trail’ comes from the ghetto’s and is the receipts for the drugs sold, this shows T.I expressing his gangsta lifestyle. It shows different pieces of paper making up the face of T.I. Genre - Rap T.I. is very serious, this shows by his facial expression, in this album he wants to take seriously because its his last album in a while because he is in prison, some of the tracks were also written in prison.
- 9. All of these albums do not resemble typical rap albums, they are very different and cleverly thought out so that they resemble the rapper and match the name of the album title. This is an example of a typical ‘Gangsta Album’…
