- 1. 4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages ? What we did to use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stage. We used a Panasonic HD video camera witch was my own and used iMovie on the Apple Macs at school. This was a very effective way we could put together our sequences. When we were in the planning and creating stage we watched a lot of online professional adverts so that it would help us be able to mirror some of the qualities in our project. It was also important that we storyboarded our sequences, which helped us later on when seeing what order we needed to film in. having these technology’s with us has helped develop my knowledge on how editing is so important and been able to ass different effects to our sequences to make them look professional and presentable.

Using the portable hand held video camera was very useful and easy, light weight equipment help once shooting our footage because it meant we could get all sorts of creative angles and experiment filming different things. Having this small equipment meant also we could take it everywhere on location and bring into school whenever we needed to upload more footage to the Macs. I especially liked how having it in hand could able me too experiment in working with different angles and a variety of establishing shots.

- 4. What I would do next time? What I think I would change and do better next time would be when editing use final cut instead of iMovie as I feel more confident on working on final cut and the processes when uploading, I think would have been easier. Also I would use a more inventive location to film in so that our advert may come across more interesting to watch. I could of also filmed more long shots on the product itself so it could play a bigger part in our advert. If we used a different soundtrack in advert two, it would maybe have given the audience more of a contrast when next to each other.
