- 2. Ambitions: My goals are the reason behind why I am living. I have many ambitions and they are either short-term or long-term. For now, my greatest goal in life is to become a financial advisor for which I have to achieve higher marks. In order to get there, I start to work on my each assignment at least one week before its due date so that I can get some feedback from my professors if my work would need any kinds of improvement. Just as I got admission to this college, I know that with my hard work, one day I would be able to get a position as a financial advisor. 2
- 3. Family Values Ambition, Creative Writing, Art, Harmony, Knowledge, and Wisdom are extremely important in life but I will always place my family in the first level and highest category. Each member of my family plays a significant role in my life. My family members are always there for me in any kind of situation – sorrow, happiness, success, or failure. I prefer sharing everything with my family because they are the one who can guide me toward the right path. The world can only see that I am a business student studying in Canadian college, but no one can see the point that how I got here. I can still recall the time when my parents used to work hard enough to pay my school fees and to make me an educated person. No one can see the fact that if I am an expert in math or computer then my parents are the one who encouraged me to work hard and get high marks. Therefore I would conclude with the statement that with the help of my family - my parents, sibling, cousins, and uncles - today I am capable of achieving my dreams and showing the world exactly that “who I really am”. 3
- 4. Interest: Making objects using cardboards/ drawing In this world everyone has some skills within them. Majority of us can figure them out by experiencing them in our daily life. Since childhood, I enjoyed and loved to make random things using colors and cardboards. I have built boxes, house for a project, or cards. In addition, I can make drawing based on short stories. I am capable of making a drawing that can send a message to others and can explain something that often cannot be clarified by words. 4
- 5. Since childhood, I loved to do my post-secondary studies in Canada. In 2012, I applied for international visa for Canada. Later on, I got a letter requesting me to write IELTS test in order to get admission in any Canadian college. Since coming to Canada, was one of my dreams, I took the decision that no matter what happens, I would pass this test. From that day on, I studied and practiced days and nights. In order to improve my listening skill, I listened to variety of audio sounds with different accents including British, Chinese, American, Canadian, and Australian. In addition, I spend approximately 4 hours each day practicing on my witting skills. I read short novels and news articles daily and would underline any word that I would find unfamiliar and tough. I used to write summaries of each article that I would read. Later when I wrote my IELTs test, I was positioned among the users with brand 7 – which was good enough for me to get admission. 5
- 6. Achievements: Water Boost Rocket In high school, we were assigned a group project based on the reactions of mechanisms to the exterior forces. In a group of four, my partners and I made a water rocket using soda bottle, bicycle pump, wire hungers, duct tape, glue, and some pipe. Before launching, we filled the body of the rocket with desired amount of tap water. In addition, we pumped air into the rocket using the bicycle pump. Within 40 seconds, we were able to launch the rocket into the air. With all the great efforts and flexibility of the group members, we were capable of achieving the third positions amongst the schools who participated in this competition. The most important and unforgettable achievement for me was that my partners and I were granted the first position in our school which turned out to be my greatest and most valuable accomplishment during school 6 years.
