- 2. Street photography is the type of photography that documents a public place. It is a tradition that is nearly as old as photography itself. Street photography is usually taken in urban areas where life moves quickly. What is street photography? ‘It’s like holding up a mirror to society.
- 3. What is the decisive moment? The decisive moment is where you capture a moment where if you had taken the picture a couple of second before or after the image wouldn't’t give out the same feeling.
- 4. Ethical considerations. Don’t take an image that might offend a person. Don’t take images of homeless people, unless it is benefiting them in some way. Don’t take images of people close up without permission. Don’t take images of children.
- 5. Do’s: Smile, it relaxes people. Ask people for permission. Be respectful of people. Don’ts Take images where children are the main focal point without permission. Stalk people. Take an image of a homeless, religious or disabled person without permission. Take images of security operations. Take images that are offensive. Do’s and Don’t’s
- 7. Stuart Beesley. I like that the image is in colour. Usually street photography is in black and white but I think that it gives the image a hint of dullness. The image makes me wonder what the girl is doing because she has no shoes on and is right next to a swan. I think that the fact that you can have your own interpretation on the image makes it an even better photo.
- 8. Stuart Beesley. The photo was taken by Stuart Beesley. Stuart is a beginner in photography and he took this image on a London Street Photography Walk held in August 2012. I like the style that he has because he uses lots of colour, rather than black and white. He also seems to focus on people rather than objects.
