- 1. IDEAS Molly, Alice, Guy and Issy
- 2. IDEA 1 Sofas will be used as a prop in this video. The first shot will be of a woman whom is sitting in a isolated bed-sit area. The idea behind this video is to demonstrate the lack of interest the woman has in engaging with the outside world. The woman will be appearing as if she is bored by everyone else having fun and the stereotyping of society and partys. Throughout her being filmed she will be singing and directing all of her speech at the camera. • In order to film this particular sequence we are planning on hiring a hotel room and make it appear as if it has been messed up by the girls. The ruined flat would be used to portray her stereotypical student attitude. Nothing will be permanent, clothes on the floor, messy bowls, make-up bags. • The chorus is repetitive and we thought this would work as the girls can be doing repeated dance.
- 3. Opening shot – Mallrat (Uninvited) • Firstly, we open on a wide establishing shot of the woman sitting on the sofas. As the first lyric is introduced the camera zooms in on the face of the woman. We are going to have 1 sofa with four girls. Two girls would be on the sofa and the leading girl in the centre. We are planning on picking 4 girls from either A1 or A2 whom have some sort of dancing ability. Ideally, we we would want to rent an area to use of which could be created to look like that of a typical student’s flat. We want to rent somewhere of which is obviously not too expensive as we do not want to spend too much of our budget.
- 4. Choreography - This is the kind of choreography we would be using in our video. We want to give the video an arty vibe. All the dancers should be dressed in the exact same clothing excluding the lead. This is to differentiate him from the rest of them. The difference in this image is that the center of the screen will be female. There is choreographed dance however not complicated. They will all be dancing around the girl.
- 5. Lighting - We will be using shadows as a use to make the video more interesting. The image to the right shows that of a naked light bulb we intend to use in our video. We want to emphasize how she as neglected her home and that no care has been given to it in her depressed state of mind. We want to perhaps try and create shadows to make the video appear more realistic also there will be more to visually focus on.
- 6. Costume • In terms of costume, I think all the girls should be in dresses, I think this would aid the implication that we are attempting to adhere to the typical female stereotype. This is the kind of appearance we would be aiming for, however we would want the main singer to be in a different, vibrant colour to
- 7. Narrative • Group of friends or teenagers whom are talking about how they don’t need to be invited to parties they are happy making their own fun. The video will be various different shots in different locations of the girls dancing around the main singer as she is singing at the camera. • As the video starts, she is in formal clothing, as the video progresses she will be in less and less formal clothing. The dancers will be taking her make-up off for her and her formal clothing. • LOCATION - Boarding house - Build a set - -Rent a place in Guilford or somewhere near by - - Friends place
