- 3. History What is Prezi? Prezi is a software that opens a new world between whiteboards and slides. It is a zoomable canvas that leads your audience down a path of discovery. The co-founder of Prezi is the internationally reowned architect and visual atrtist, Adam Somlai-Fischer. He has been working on zooming presentations since 2001. He believed that a zoomable interface allowed him to explore the “big picture” overview of a floor plan and then zoom into the detail of individual rooms. In 2007, Budapest University of Technology professor Peter Halacsy convinced Adam to develop an editor that anyone could make zooming presentations.
