Our client has a fairly large tech team of about 50 people in New York, as well as a small presence in London. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for determining the strategic and tactical direction of the front-end architecture of our highest profile projects. You will contribute to the planning of large projects, working with UX Designers, Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure the appropriate preparation is in place to support a realistic project plan. You will be willing and able to set up clean and scalable technical design to be handed off to junior team members to complete. You will dedicate time to code reviews, mentoring and training of your direct team members. You will be involved in creating project technical documentation. You will help us staff and maintain a top-notch team of presentation-layer developers. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in architecting front-end tiers for high volume websites Expertise in HTML, CSS and Javascript (5+ years) Experience managing or mentoring junior developers Proficiency in a JS Framework such a jQuery, prototype, YUI Experience using templating engines such as Smarty, ASP.NET Razor, Haml, Django Experience of understanding how to integrate presentation layer with server technologies (XML, Webservices) Knows all the Ins and Outs of HTML5/CSS3 constructs and backwards- compatability/workarounds. Passionate about implementing progressive UX, Design. Experience optimizing for search engines. Passionate about SEO, Accessibility Keeps up with the latest and greatest in open-source frameworks, design patterns and digital in general.
