The Truckers Town facilities proposal involves 6 “districts” or distinct service areas, at each Truck-stop facility, where space permits & where this wider range of services is necessary or in demand: A High Security Trucker’s Hub, offering a Safe, 24 hour one-stop trucking facility with an array of services dedicated to truckers and Trucking operations: Presentation to KZN Transport Forum 2009-04-02
- 2. Diesel Port / Refuelling Pit Stop Short-term Truck Park District Medium and Long-term parking facilities. Village Walk General Shopping District Plaza: Office Park / Hospitality / Training Academy District Maintenance Services District Warehousing District with Storage facilities and Mini-factories.

Truckers Town Amenities: • 24 hour security services / systems; • Diesel islands; • Truckers Town Cash Card System; • Parking facility; • Truckers Express Sleeping quarters; • Convenience store; • Restaurant / take-away; • Conference centre / catering facility; • Hotel accommodation; • Laundromat; • Weighbridge; • Hazchem trainer / safety equipment / signage; • Industrial protective clothing; • Fire Extinguisher Company; • Truck Wash bay facility; • Testing station; • Clearing agents; • Office facilities for transporters / service providers; • Posting / faxing / Internet facility; • Clothing store; • ATM facility; • Driver training & re-skilling facility; • Amenities Building: which has provision for a Police Station Complex/ Security/ Fire Station. General Security Facilities: Fully fenced self - contained site , 24 hour security guards, mobile jeep / bike patrols, floodlighting, digital CCTV, barrier controlled Park and Pay entry and exit. Industrial Transport-dedicated estate with some well established anchor company’s as tenants occupying own and leased sites. Several District areas integrated for seamless transition of both people and vehicles between the various facilities and services on offer. This facility will cater for the local community also, as infrastructure and shopping, via the Village Walk General Shopping District.
