Who Are My Students? 28 students, Seven to eight old boys and girls Mix of Pacifica, Maori, Indian, Chinese, Pakeha ethnicities Reading range from yellow to reading at 10 years Stage 2 maths through to Stage 5 Most were writing at Level 1 Four have no computers at home Others have limited access, sharing with siblings or in after school care learningstuff.wordpress.com  Vashti Tymkin

The Blog Is The Lesson Use afternoon sessions to teach children how to use the blog It IS a useful tool with a skill set, so like any subject, it has to be taught Other students can be completing work while you work with a group who become your experts Get a parent help in to learn at the same time learningstuff.wordpress.com  Vashti Tymkin
And The Lessons Are… How to use computers- mouse, track pad, keyboard, rules of use (driver/navigator)  How to find the blog (and the browser on the desktop) How to find a game and play it How to comment How to post Using advanced features on a post learningstuff.wordpress.com  Vashti Tymkin
