Two people were shot dead at Virginia Tech University by a campus gunman. One of the victims was an army veteran and father of five. The gunfire began during a traffic stop involving campus police officer Deriek Crouse, 39. While reports identified the second victim as the gunman, officials later confirmed the gunman was Truett Ashley, who had stolen a car from a real estate office before the attack.
