- 1. Slave Trade BY Chris Swan
- 2. Essential question What is the effect of the Slave trade on the world?
- 3. Why I Chose My Topic I wanted to know why the they traded people.
- 4. What I Already Knew… I knew that a lot of Africans died. The Africans got shipped.
- 5. Research The slave trade began around the mid-fifteenth century. The Europeans expanded there empires in the new world but they lacked one major resource a work force.
- 6. Research The first slave ship was built in Massachusetts in 1637 in which the ships also know as slavers and would sail from America to west Africa in exchange for goods.
- 7. Research There was little room in the boats. They also dived them in to different groups.
- 8. Did You Know? The estimation is that 15 million people were transported as slaves with unknown numbers dying enroot.
- 9. Questions I Still Have… Why they picked black people to be slaves? How they caught the Africans?
