A major film company such as 20th Century Fox
or Warner Bros would unlikely to be willing to
distribute our film as they usually work with major
high budget films productions in the romance,
comedy and drama genre. As our film is an
independent production we are more likely to be
of interest to Warp Films as they are successful
in producing and distributing independent films
through links with Studio Canal (formally known
as Optimum Releasing). As they are located in
the UK this would also add value to our film as it
keeps it independently British.
Presentation1
Studio Canal
Studio Canal UK was formerly Optimum
Releasing, before it was acquired by Studio
Canal in 2006 and renamed Studio Canal UK in
2011.
They are a film distribution company working in
the UK and Ireland.
Distributing independent films they work across
the UK and sometimes Ireland and America
Studio Canal distribute their large back catalogue
of classic British Films through Optimum
releasing's.
Presentation1
The Weinstein Company
The Weinstein Company is a American Film
studio who worked with optimum releasing to
produce and distribute Submarine.
They also work with the company Entertainment
Film Distributors to distribute their independent
productions and Momentum Pictures.
Companies such as these would be likely to
distribute our film as they are mainly linked with
independent films.
