Asbestos is a fibrous mineral that is non-flammable and a poor conductor of heat, making it useful for construction materials, textiles, and vehicle parts. However, inhaling asbestos fibers can cause serious health issues like lung cancer and mesothelioma. While asbestos has many applications, it releases tiny cancer-causing fibers into the air and should be banned in the Philippines to prevent people from developing respiratory illnesses and diseases from asbestos exposure.

- 1. ASBESTOS: BAN OR NOT BANASBESTOS a Greek word meaning an extinguishable; a fibrous form of several minerals and hydrous silicates of magnesium. Asbestos fibers can be molded or woven into various fabrics. Because it is non flammable and poor heat conductor.
- 2. Asbestos is a poor heat conductor and non flammable, it is also used in building-construction materials, textiles, missiles and jet parts, asphalts, and brake linings. But asbestos should be banned in the Philippines for its negative effects such as Lung cancer, Mesothelioma and other disease caused by inhalation of asbestos fibers.

Asbestos should be banned for good.
