- 2. • Strengths • I think one strength to my front cover was that the model was making direct eye contact with the camera. • My front cover was also colorful and bright and eye catching which is important in order to catch potential readers attention. • My text is also well spaced around my model meaning it is easy to see her and her clothes.
- 3. Weaknesses Some of the text is hard to read because of the background, it made it hard to choose colors as not many would stand out against it. I think I could’ve used better colors for my fonts as they also made it more difficult to read which is important to learn from as the cover lines draw people into the magazine. The lighting of the picture is also a bit too bright and so washes out the model, so if I was to do the task again I would be sure to consider the lighting situation and what the best settings would be to use in order to get the best picture.
- 4. Strengths The text is all relevant to the genre and so suits the idea of a teenage magazine. The layout works well for the purpose and is easy to read. The pictures each have a relevant page number which would lead to an article in the magazine.
- 5. weaknesses The page needed more text overall My pictures look rushed as the originals got deleted off the camera and I had to re take them quickly. There could've been more colour or something to make it more eye- catching. The color scheme is a bit boring and probably wouldn’t attract anyone to read it. The text is uneven on either side as some of it is sitting higher up.
- 6. Overall evaluation If I was to do the task again I would make sure I thought more about colour schemes and that I had enough text to fill the pages. I would also make sure my pictures linked directly to my text and that if I needed to I gave myself extra time to take the pictures so that they linked , more to the genre. I also would make sure the pages looked more interesting through colour, pictures and layout.
