- 5. I used the apple Imac so I was able to use all the soft wares to create my magazine cover , contents and article. This allowed me to edit text and and photos so I could create all of the work. I have learnt how to use many applications on the mac such as adobe photoshop cs5. APPLE MAC
- 6. I used a camera DSLR so I could take the pictures for my magazine. I used a camera in my photoshoot so I could take photos of my two friends for my magazine and there were also pictures of me so the camera was used on me also. When taking a shot I learnt how to focus the camera, zoom in and zoom out, how to take a shot from different angles e.g. crouched down. I wanted HD photos on my magazine cover, contents and article to give it a professional appearance and so I used a good camera which was a: Nikon D3100 – Digital SLR CAMERA DSLR

I used a strobe light to make my artist stand out more this abled me to make certain parts of their body clearer than others e.g. on my cover I made the light come out on the right side because Tyler has a big diamond/gold chain on that stands out as the light is shining on it. I also used a horseshoe flash trigger which sends infra red signal to the strobe flash this then makes the flash be in sync with the camera shutter. - 8. I used a white backdrop and softboxes to keep the lighting both smooth and concentrated on the artists. The soft boxes allowed me to have a more rounder and focused light on the subject(a smooth soft sort of lighting). The backdrop let me concentrate on the artists and nothing else as it’s just a white background so it doesn’t take any colour from the shot. Softboxes White Backdrop OTHER LIGHTING

- 10. I used indesign to construct my article as I needed to add my text on word to the article I created in adobe photoshop. I edited my text for the answers on my article I learnt how to put effects on the text in indesign such as a red outline. I also learnt how to change the angle of text on indesign. To research other magazines similar to mine I used firefox and I also used firefox to get text fonts and to access my blog. OSK- the operating system that Apple Mac uses this holds all the information and accounts that are on the Mac’s, if this server didn’t exist I wouldn’t be able to do my work. SOFTWARES USED
- 11. This is the main application I used so therefore it was the most important. This is how I constructed my cover , contents and article. I edited images and text on this. For example my magazine title has many effects on it such as making it red, bigger, bolder so it stands out on the cover and the reader easily recognizes that it’s the magazine title. I also had to sort out the layers of the items that make up my work e.g. my black background had to be at the back and the magazine title had to be at the front as it’s suppose to stand out the most. I used many different fonts throughout my magazine to add creativity and variation so it looked interesting to the reader. I also used drop shadow on some of the fonts to make it stand out more. - 12. I used wordpress to post my work so my teacher and friends can look at my work and analyse it. I could also work on this at home not just at school as it’s a online account. I used prezi to do my first 5 questions and display them in a creative and sophisticated way. WORDPRESS & PREZI
