PDHPE provides children with
knowledge, skills, values, attitudes and
understanding that will allow them to live healthy
and fulfilling lives. It promotes skill development
through games and sports, dance, gymnastics and
active lifestyle and provides children with the tools
to live healthy and active lifestyles. It also teaches
children to make educated decisions on many
important issues such as personal
safety, nutrition, drug use, sexuality and
relationships. It is vital in primary education as it
promotes growth and development and teaches
students how to maintain healthy lifestyles and a
positive and healthy wellbeing.

Key learning areas in the Primary Curriculum include:
o Encouraging an understanding and value of
