Welcome to Room 7
          Lyndi Barrett – lbarrett@kohi.school.nz
Introduction

 The purpose of this evening – to inform you of how Room 7 & Cowley
  team are run.
 Year 2 class 19 students.
 I group the children for reading, maths, writing & spelling from the NZ
curriculum according to where the children are working
 The whole of Cowley team plan units of work at these levels to cater for

Routines
 Healthy snack – a small healthy snack that can be eaten quickly. A

I’m trying to help the children become more independent, routines
and responsibility for learning are an important part of this:

e.g. placing the book bag, drink bottle and healthy snack in the right
place, putting the chair down each morning… ect.

They will still need yours & my support with this, but it would be much
appreciated if they actually did the activity themselves.
