- 1. CoDiME Coping With Diversity in a Multicultural Europe PRETASKS KaHo Sint-Lieven – 2008

Students prepare at home 3 different activities for Monday 14/04 PM : every country prepares an information point (booth: imagine like a market) presenting cultural aspect of their country like tourism, gastronomy, habits,… we hope every country will use his creativity and personality to present their country ICT-means can be used to visualise (pictures, music, movie,…) we try to limit powerpoints with only text there will be the possibility to go from one information point (booth: imagine like a market) to the other to get to know each other better for Tuesday 15/04 AM or Wednesday 16/04 PM : every country prepares a PowerPoint presenting the education system and how one works on diversity in general (structure) in this presentation you will use video examples to show how the education system of your country copes with diversity the PowerPoint and video presentation should not take longer than half an hour for each country. for Thursday 17/04 PM and Friday 18/04 PM : presenting the county in the primary and secondary schools: prepare a presentation in a creative way (look for creative ways to communicate with children who speak meanly Dutch) for the evenings at Heidepark (see schedule) : every country prepares an evening programme containing cooking and animation

Students should bring from home: materials like flags, pictures, typical cloths, food,… and other personal and creative materials for the information point, the presentation at the schools and the evening animation; the PowerPoint and video materials on a digital way (for instance on USB-Stick); each country should bring a digital photo camera; be prepared for rain as well as sun.
